Egy eskuvo / A wedding

Meg Budapesten talalkoztunk 5 szingapurival, olyan 2007 magassagaban, akik kozul Gavin par hete hazassagra szanta el magat. Meghivottak kozott voltunk, ime a fotok egy kinai-szingaouri eskuvorol.

Amint megtudtuk, reggel volt a kinai szertartas (tea ceremonia), majd kora delutan a templomi eskuvo, ahova mindenki hivatalos es keso este pedig a vacsor ahova csak a szulok altal elhivott sereg mehetett. (a szulok ilyenkor az uzleti partnertol a partvezetoig, mindenkit elhivnak, aki szamit)

/volt egy par furi eleme az eskuvonek, pl rock zenekar zenelt, "igy talalkoztunk" video bemutatasa, tapsolas amikor bevonult a mennyasszony meg ugy az eskuvo alatt egy csomo tapsolas volt...? /

Back in a day, around 2007 we met some Singaporeans and among those there was Gavin, who decided to get married this month and we were invited to the ceremony.

In the morning there is the Chinese ceremony for the small family (tea ceremony), the church wedding and tea reception was for all and we learned that in the evening there is a 3rd party where the parents invite 100s of guest and have a feast to celebrate LOVE.

/there were some "funny elements" in the wedding such as "having a rock band" - "this is how we met" video - clapping when the bride arrived..../

Cooking class among the clouds

Thanks to my lovely friend, Viki here in Singapore I was invited to a very posh cooking class on the top of a skyscraper in Singapore. It felt like swimming with the clouds
The cooking class was taking place in a beautiful restaurant, only some can join this club. :)
The class took place in one of the club restaurants... as the pictures show, it was a very pretty lounge-restaurant.

Kedves baratosnomnek koszonhetoen meghivast kaptam Szingapur egyik legzartabb kulbjaba egy nem akarmilyen rendezvenyre! Fozo orara!
Miutan imadok fozni azonnal erdekelt a dolog! :) Nagyon elegans helyen tartottak a bemutatot, a klub egyik ettermi helyisegeben, ahogy a kepeken is latszik, gyonyoru volt, es majd a felhok kozott voltunk.

The chef was from Germany hence the menu. :)
A sef nemet volt, ami magyarazatot ad a menusorra. :)

Viki and I were the only Caucasians - due to the Asian majority we "learned" about Western food. All the ingredients were super high quality, I am not sure how often I should justify such luxury but indisputably it was great to eat such a delicacy meal.

Mi ketten voltunk az egyeduli europaiak, minek keppen az azsiai eroknek kedveskedtek es auropai izeket mutattak be. Mi szinte minden lepest es otletet ismertunk, bar par jo otletet igy is hallottunk.
We suggested that maybe next time we should have an Asian cooking class as we were pretty familiar with all the steps and ideas. :)

The menu was the following:
- white European asparagus with wild mushrooms
- gnocchi with wild mushrooms (dried vinegar chunks/flakes on top and some salad garnish)
- vanilla ice-cream (of course made by vanilla pods)some awesome cake base soaked into pineapple essence, and a dried pineapple slice from New Zealand)

A menu:
- nemet feher sparga volt erdei gombaval
- a foetel gnocchi volt szinten gombaval, fokhagymaval es isteni finom extrakkal (mint peldaul szaritott balzsamecet pelyhek)
- a desszert pedig fenseges vanilai fagyi volt ananasz mamorban. Az ananasz szelet egyenesen Uj-Zelandrol szarmazott!!!

Wow I felt like a million dollars! :)
Hat nem kezdodott rosszul a hetvege egy ilyen szombat reggeltol!!!
