Dolgos Hangyak / Working ants

Last night Mike and I decided to go for a late night walk as our rental contract will finish in the middle of November (and we wanted to look at a new housing area) and although the Singaporean rental market is crazy expensive we would like to give a shoot to find a place on our own, no sharing, no splitting... just us, like we lived in Budapest.
Knowing our budget we will need to look for HDBs (government housing units, less pretty but durable) rather then spend all of our income on a condo unit...

Tegnap este Mike-kal felkerekedtunk egy keso esti setara, hogy ellatogassunk egy ujonan felfedezett lako negyedhez, mivel a szep lakasunk szerzodese ismet lejaroban van, November kozepe a koltozes.
Mike-kal arra torekszunk, hogy bar kiabranditoan draga a szingapuri lakas piac megis megprobalunk egy olyan lakast talalni, ahol csak magunk lehetunk, csak ugy mint anno Budapesten, nincs osztozkodas massal, nincs egyutt berles.
Az arak arra tendalnak, hogy condo tipusu uj epitesu lakast nehez lenne berelnunk, de a kormany altal epitettet "halandoknak szant" lakasok kozott, ha mazlink van tan akad valami.

Anyway, on the first floor of our condo there is a burger king (happy to share, we have never even once eaten there)last night at around midnight on the way back we saw that the whole "restaurant' was under construction, people were fixing stuff and taking stuff apart...

Mindegy, az utcai foldszinten a lakasunk aljaban van egy Burger King, ahova persze sesem tesszuk a labunkat sem, de lenyeg nem is ez, hanem, hogy tegnap ejjel ejfel korul lattuk, hogy szet van szedve a belso tere, emberek dolgoznak, szetbontanak, osszeraknak... felujitanak.

Mikekal egymasra neztunk, mibe fogadunk, hogy reggel tarva nyiva all majd, mintha mi sem tortent volna, csak teljesen felujitott berendezessel.
Nem fogadtunk, mert mind a ketten egyetertettunk.

Ma reggel 8:45kor lementunk megnezni es lam, csak lam nyiott ajtok mogott, minden csillog, ragyog, sehol egy porszem, egy kiallo vezetek, ujjaepult az etterem...
be kell latni, van munkamoral!
We looked at each other, how much do you bet on having this place open tomorrow morning like nothing happened, just some fairies came during the night and hip-hop changed the inside design. There was no bet because we both agreed that they will not leave without finishing...
Today we went down at 8:45 to check , on them... guess what, it's done, it's spotless it's open!!!!

Mi baj az itteniekkel?

Egy angol ismerosunk, felesegevel par ev egyutteles es sajat lakasban eles utan ugy dontottek, hogy hazakoltoznek a csaladi (ures) hazba a feleseg anyukajahoz...

Nos ki gondolna, hogy a kedves anyuka/anyos ezert lakbert szamit fel a fiatalokra????

Mindig is furcsa szemmel neztem a szingapuri plane kinai "csaladi gondviselesre"!

Mit is csinal a konzulatusunk...?

Valaki meg tudja mondani, hogy a megfeszitett munkatempoban dolgozo itteni konzulatusunk ugyan mivel is foglalkozik azokon a napokon, amikor nincs eppen nyitva... ez pedig majdnem az ev 365 napja....??????
