Bed Bugs!

What a great day we had today - how often do you get to be in a mattress commercial? I mean, really :)
One of the larger Singaporean mattress makers is launching a major ad campaign to promote their new anti-bedbug mattress. Imola had sent our wedding pictures to a media coordinator contact of hers, and we were selected to be the married couple demonstrating the new mattress.


We arrived early in the morning to the mattress company facility, where they had a small studio set up. We met a friendly fellow from Montenegro who was also in the commercial. It didn't take us long to find out that his role was that of the bed bug! Throughout the day we played the various scenes, which play out like this:

• Happy couple sleeping in bed, camera pans over to sinister-looking bedbug sleeping next to us
• I roll over, and am shocked and disgusted to see our bed bug visitor
• I sit up and scream, which wakes Imola up screaming as well
• We jump out of bed
• From the floor we peer over the edge of the bed in disgust to see the bed bug relaxing in comfort

• Bed bug walks away with suitcases
• Married couple fall asleep on their new mattress

The whole experience was really fun, a bit frustrating though because the Chinese director had a very limited emotional vocabulary with which to instruct us. We got the job done in the end and everybody seemed pleased with the results.

And where will we be seen? According to the art director, the commercial will be on TV, the still shots in magazines, and we may even be on bus skins in Singapore!!! Pretty cool :)

Ime - a 'fúrcsa forditás' mert az Imola nincs otthon (most süt a centrumban):

Baromi jó napunk volt, ugyhogy egy matrac reklamban voltunk! Komolyan!


Az egyik Singapúri matrac gyár egy kampányt szerződnek, az új bogár-ellenes matracról. Imola az esküvői fényképunket küldött egy média kapcsolónak (aki a filmekkel foglalkoz), s ugy valasztották ki minket.

Korán érkeztunk a matrac gyarhoz, ahol rendeznek a reklámot. Ott találkoztunk egy montenegroi sráccal, és rögtön derült ki hogy Ő lesz a matrac bogar (az az 'bed bug'). Kérlek szépen, így volt a reklám:

• Boldog házaspár alszik a nyugvóhelyen, s ott is van egy bed bug!
• Befordul a férje, meglatja a bed bug-ot
• A férje felül, sikolt egyet, a felesége is ébred fel és sikolt
• Kiugrunk az ágybol
• Megpillantjük az ágy széltől a bed bug-ot, aki a közepén kellemesen fekszik
• (bemutatnak az új fajta matracot)
• Öltöz költöz a bogár, szomorúán
• Az ifju házaspár újra fekszenek le egymassal az új matracon :)

Összesen jó móka volt az egész, nehányszor nehéz volt, de megcsináltunk.

És hol lehet bennünket latni? A reklám a tévén lesz, a képek a magazinekben, és lehet is a búsz kivüli részén! Siraly!
